Provides merchants access to 2.9m PayMe app users
I managed 3 agile scrum teams to develop and launch the initial PayMe for Business product and the subsequent continuous release iterations of new features. As part of my role I also managed release packaging and coordination with our release train team.
Each scrum team consisted of IOS and Android native app developers, Java server developers, automation testing developers, business analyst, manual tester and UX/UI designers.
PayMe is HSBC’s peer to peer payments app built from scratch in their in-house startup that has gained 2.9m users.
As a second distribution channel, we created the PayMe for Business to target merchants to allow them tap into the PayMe consumer user base.
PayMe for Business is a QR-code based payments platform accessed either via the PayMe app or via an integrated API.

AI-powered analytics to detect neuro-degenerative disease
My role on Speech Vitals was Product Director where I was responsible for the product team, product strategy, product roadmap, product definition backlog management, feature prioritization and product release scheduling.
My product team consisted of a UX/UI designer and a product manager.
We used a kanban style of agile where the team included a scrum master, IOS and Android native app developers, web developers, Java serverless developers, a manual tester and a UX/UI designer.

Speech Vitals app is a native IOS and Android app that collects patient speech recordings in clinic or remotely at home. These speech recordings are analyzed using ML and AI models to detect neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, ALS, Alzheimers and more.
The Speech Vitals platform also consists of a set of native mobile & web applications to manage the audio transcription pipeline, crowdsource activities for collecting general population speech samples and a customer portal for managing speech participation in clinical trials.
The Speech Vitals product also offers an API allowing you to full integrate the Speech Vitals service into your platform.

Mobile-first events platform for organizers & attendees
My role with Pelago as co-founder was Product Owner where I was responsible for product strategy, product roadmap, product definition backlog management, engineering team management and product releases.
We used a kanban style of agile with some elements of scrum where the team included IOS and Android native app developers, web developers, PHP server developers, a manual tester and UX/UI designers.

I launched Pelago Events with two co-founders to help solve a pain-point of easily finding and booking unique music and other live events in Hong Kong via mobile phone. Over the course of the first 2 years we gained 100k users and created a top brand and reputation in Hong Kong.
Pelago was offered as a native IOS and Android app, a website where organizers could create and publish a new event within minutes from their mobile phone, and attendees could explore new events and book tickets. We also created a white-label API product that was offered via a Wordpress plug-in that allowed organizers to embed our API product into their website while leveraging all the event organizer and publishing tools we had to offer.
The Pelago app and website are no longer available. You can still check out the Pelago Facebook page and the Pelago Instagram page which has the same design system and language as the apps.
